Type of People I've encountered during my journey along the path of healing.

I met three types of people in my last 31 years of practice as a doctor.

The first group of people I met were those who came to me with a problem and began asking me why they had fallen victim to the disease. They then begin blaming everyone and everything around them, including the current healthcare system and doctors, the fee structure, and their inability to pay. They are the people who are dissatisfied with their lives and have doubts about everything. They then travel from one system of medicine to another in search of a good doctor and a good hospital. They are literally on a health shopping mission. This represents more than 80% of the people I encountered.

The second group of people I met blamed themselves for their current health problems and were looking for a solution. They have accepted responsibility for their actions in the past and wish to work on themselves in order to improve their health in the future. They remain calm while attempting to comprehend the scope of the problem. This group accounts for approximately 17 to 18% of the people I met. Surprisingly, I discovered a critical flaw in each of them. Despite their desire to return to good health, they demonstrate an unwillingness to learn about their body and mind. They all have justifications for a lack of time and excessive busyness.

The third group, which accounts for only 1-2 per cent of the population, came to me for advice on how to avoid disease. These are the individuals who are eager to learn and act. This group is so small that preaching real health and staying healthy to them is akin to throwing a bucket of water into the sea and expecting the wave to reach far out.

In a world where statistics show that 70% of diseases are psychosomatic, they can be managed simply through education and raising awareness. This is possible when people begin to learn about their own bodies and minds and choose the best action to keep them safe and secure.

  2. Your research seems accurate and convincing. As per my opinion we must try our best the second category of persons. Let them be motivated first. I think these group of people are aware of the situation. They can spread your noble idea to the first category people.
